Our editorial standard

Every factual claim on this site traces to one of four primary sources: the product packaging, the official order page, the stated return policy, or peer-reviewed literature indexed on PubMed and summarised by bodies such as the American Academy of Dermatology, the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health and the FDA's cosmetics guidance.

Where a figure is not disclosed, we write that it is not disclosed rather than filling the gap with an estimate. This site has a live example of that: we could not obtain a readable ingredient panel for this product, so instead of inventing one we published how to read the panel on your own bottle. Where a marketing claim is untrue — and in this category the “FDA approved” badge is untrue — we correct it on the same page that carries our affiliate link.

Why nail content gets extra scrutiny here

Nail products look like a low-stakes category. They are not, for two reasons.

First, an abnormal-looking nail is not always fungal. Psoriasis, old trauma, lichen planus and eczema all mimic it, and each needs different management. Occasionally a dark streak or patch under a nail is subungual melanoma — highly treatable when caught early and dangerous when dismissed as a bruise or a fungus for a year.

Second, feet are where diabetes causes the most preventable harm. Reduced sensation means a problem is not felt, reduced circulation means it heals slowly, and a suppressed immune response means infection spreads. A cosmetic product bought instead of a podiatry appointment is a genuine risk for that group, not just a wasted purchase.

That is why every substantive page here carries the same standing notice, why we publish the nail growth timeline rather than burying it, and why our ingredient page leads with contact allergy. If that costs us conversions, it is a trade we are comfortable making.

Why we carry affiliate links

This site earns commission when readers buy through our links. We disclose that in the footer of every page and on our affiliate disclosure page. The commission does not change what we publish: the same pages that link to the product also document that it is a cosmetic and not an antifungal, that no ingredient panel was available, that the price is well above comparable products, that botanical oils carry contact-allergy risk, and that people with diabetes should see a podiatrist rather than buy a spray. If we only published favourable material the links would be worth more and the site would be worth less.

How we date our pages

Prices, formulations and policies change without notice. Every page carries the date its claims were last verified against primary sources. If you are reading this more than a few months after that date, confirm current pricing and terms on the official order page before buying. Spotted something out of date? Send us a correction.
